After singer Sonu Nigam's outburst on 'Azaan' being played on loudspeakers, singer Suchitra Krishnamoorthy also joined the bandwagon.

Suchitra Krishnamoorthy who has acted with Shah Rukh Khan in 'Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa', went on a Twitter rant and wrote about 'Azaan' being played on loudspeakers was hooliganism.

Inspite of this, Suchitra still defended her tweets.

Soon she was trolled by Twitterati, who called out her 'bigoted' statements. some even went ahead and got personal and called her 'dumb', 'lowlife' and low IQ'. Soon, the issue escalated out of proportion and even politicians got into the fight. Soon, news channels decided to ask Abu Azmi to comment on Suchitra's tweets, who decided to respond to it in his own, convuluted manner.Abu Azmi not only called her 'stupid' ,but he went ahead and made some really misogynist comments.

He spoke to a news channel stating women like her put their arms around men and roam around at 3am in the night. When the anchor told him that he should not be commenting on a woman's character, he was defiant and said that he will use harsher words, if people make ill-informed comments on religion. He also added that Sonu Nigam and Suchitra Krishnamoorthy have contributed nothing to the nation, but in fact are trying to disrupt communal harmony.
