Aamna started her career by featuring in popular music videos such as Falguni Pathak's Yeh Kisne Jadoo Kiya, Abhijeet's Chalney Lagin Hain Hawain, Daler Mehndi's Eh Le 100 Rupiya and Shael's Nachana Kamal.
She rose to fame with her daily soap on the small screen, Kahiin To Hoga, where she played the role of Kashish opposite popular Television actor Rajeev Khandelwal. She then made her way to Bollywood with Aloo Chaat opposite Aftab Shivdasani in the past and her last outing has been with Mohit Suri's Ek Villain. She later returned to TV with Kasauti Zindagii Kay 2 replacing Hina Khan as Komolika.
The actress took a break after movie’s outing to enjoy marital bliss. After dating film distributor-turned-producer Amit Kapoor, Aamna decided to tie the knot. The couple got married on December 27, 2013. In 2015, they were blessed with a baby boy, whom they named Arain.
