Armaan Malik hails from a musical family, but was always clear that he wanted to establish his identity, no strings attached. The singer says he wanted to make it on his own mettle and not use his family name to further his career.

"I've had a very clear vision of establishing my unique identity since the beginning of my career," Armaan told IANS while talking about how he has evolved as a singer.
