She wants to understand how a crime branch officer functions, ways in which officer probes various cases, officer&#39;s body language and lifestyle among others so that she could get accustomed to the officer&#39;s conduct,&quot; Roy said. Rani also tried to dig into the dangers being faced by an officer during an operation. &quot;She sought to understand the work schedules of an officer and dangers being faced during a police operation, etc. She was very keen to know various aspects of an officer&#39;s life,&quot; Roy explained. However, the 35-year-old actress refused to speak to media after the meeting. &#39;Mardaani&#39;, a Yash Raj Films&#39; (YRF) project will be directed by Pradeep Sarkar. Sarkar had earlier directed &#39;Laga Chunari Mein Daag&#39; and &#39;Lafangey Parindey&#39; for YRF. Rani&#39;s last outing with the banner was &#39;Dil Bole Hadippa&#39;, which failed to create magic at the box office. The shooting of the film is likely to begin soon.u00a0
