'Tubelight' is produced by Salma Khan and Salman Khan and directed by Kabir Khan. It is co-produced by Amar Butala. The executive producer is Rajan Kapoor, the associate producer is Garima Mehta and music is by Pritam.
'<a title="Tubelight" href="http://www.mid-day.com/search/tubelight-all" target="_blank">Tubelight</a>' is a war drama set amidst the backdrop of the 1962 Indo-China War.
The film is slated to release during Eid on June 23 this year.
After blockbusters like 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' and 'Ek Tha Tiger', 'Tubelight' is <a title="Salman Khan" href="http://www.mid-day.com/search/salman-khan-all" target="_blank">Salman Khan</a> and<a title=" Kabir Khan" href="http://www.mid-day.com/search/kabir-khan-all" target="_blank"> Kabir Khan</a>'s third film together.

Salman Khan's<a title=" 'Tubelight', however, might not release in Pakistan " href="http://www.mid-day.com/articles/bollywood-news-salman-khan-tubelight-not-release-eid-pakistan/18213158" target="_blank"> 'Tubelight', however, might not release in Pakistan </a>around the Eid as a few local filmmakers and organisations have demanded the release of the film in the country be put on hold.
The Pakistan Film Distributors Association and the Pakistan Film Producers Association, along with various local film-makers, are actively trying to stall the release of 'Tubelight', citing better business for the Pakistani films scheduled to release at the same time.
Shooting for 'Tubelight' had ended in February earlier this year.
Talking about Salman Khan's performance in 'Tubelight', Kabir Khan had earlier said, "Salman will be seen in a completely different way in the film ('Tubelight'). If people have thought that Salman's performance is special in 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan', then his performance in 'Tubelight' is five times better than it. The audience will see Salman's better performance in 'Tubelight'."
