Anil Kapoor turned 55 last week, but his persona remains as youthful as ever. The actor's still got his warm and raring-to-go vibe. Anil, who struggled his way to success with great patience, spoke to CS about staying young at heart:

Young at heart
One should be oneself if he wants to be forever young. It's no rocket science; it'simply about being true to yourself. Yes, I do look after myself.

I work out six days a week, eat right and keep myself fit. Moreover, I don't have any bad habits; I don't smoke at all and I hardly drink. Also I make sure that I'm always happy and stress free. My life is not complicated and tense.

For me, youthfulness is a state of mind rather than just looks, and I think as far as my state of mind is concerned, I am extremely young. I have been blessed with good genes. My father over 85 years old and still goes for a walk everyday.

I am a very patient person and hardly lose my temper. That's one of the reasons why I still retain some of my charm (winks).

Sometimes, my wife complains about me hardly getting angry. I am a tolerant person who always looks at situations from other people's point of view. This is what helps me stay calm.

People always tell me that I have constantly re-invented myself, but I say I am destiny's child. The only X-factor that can work wonders is enjoying what you do.

I also believe in being kind to others, respectful towards elders and having a sense of gratitude towards God for whatever He has given you. Being at the right place at the right time and grabbing opportunities is also important.

Thankfully, I am blessed with good instinct to have made some good choices. It is rightly said that winners do same thing differently, and I swear by this one.

Slow and steady
I feel good about my slow yet steady career graph. I started with the promotions of Slumdog at the year end of 2007 and since then it has been hectic. I would want to slow down a bit and rest. But otherwise I like to go the way life takes me and go with the flow.u00a0
