Also, I strictly stay away from straighteners and iron rods as subjecting your hair to too much heat damages them. I don't go for any hair therapy or treatment, but use an old remedy to strengthen my locks. I religiously apply beetroot juice, with the help of a cotton ball, to the root of my hair once or twice a week. It nourishes my hair and is extremely good for its growth. If I don't get the time, I just rub a few beetroot slices to my scalp and hair. Besides the exterior care, I make sure that I have a balanced intake of almonds, milk, beetroot and carrot juice in my diet. I also eat at least one whole amla in the entire week.
