What's it about: Set in the 1920s the story revolves around a missing child and the state of the police force during that era. Christine (Angelina Jolie) is harrowed after her nine-year-old son Walter goes missing. Not knowing whom to trust, she believes the LAPD will reunite her with Walter.
They do that five months later, but with someone who isn't her child. Horrified and shocked that the officials are out to use the case to get good publicity for themselves, Christine decides to take matters in her own hands.
Supporting her in the cause is activist Reverend Briegleb (Malkovich) who decides to expose the lies being sold to the press. The film chronicles Christine's journey and also throws light on the mammoth loopholes in the crime-fighting scenario of the '20s.
What's hot: Eastwood is a master storyteller. He's one of the few directors who lays down his tale with minimum glamour yet succeeds in creating a grand picture.
With Changeling, he doesn't rush his characters to reach their point of realisation, instead gives them time to travel their distance.
Angelina Jolie does a splendid job in playing Christine. Great efforts have been taken to design her look. It's a dream role for any actress, and Jolie makes sure she makes the most of it.u00a0
