Juhi Babbar's ex-hubby Bejoy Nambiar makes his Bollywood directorial debut with a thriller tentatively titled Shaitaan. It stars Dev D actress Kalki Koechlin.

Bejoy, who had a shortlived marriage to Raj Babbar's daughter, does not want to divulge what went wrong in the relationship. "No comments," he says. The film is slated to go on the floors in December and will be produced by Bejoy for his banner Getaway Productions.



Redoing script
As winner of PIX's filmmaking reality show Gateway, Bejoy was slated to make this project in English for Ashok Amritraj and Hyde Park Entertainment in Los Angeles. But as the production did not happen, he decided to redo the script in Hindi for Bollywood.

"The film revolves around a kidnapping," says Bejoy, who has also written the script along with Megha Ramaswamy. Shaitaan's ensemble cast includes Nikhil Chinappa, Shiv Pandit, Arjun Mathur, Namit Das and newbie Keerti Kulhari. It will be shot entirely in Mumbai.

Bejoy, who began with theatre, has made several short films including Reflections with South star Mohanlal.
About his US sojourn as Gateway winner he says, "I spent three months with Ashok Amritraj's production. The plan to make a film for them remains but at the moment, I will concentrate on my project."
