Arjun Rampal has opened up about the emotionally intense 26/11 sequence in the spy thriller Dhurandhar, calling it the most difficult scene of his life. Taking to Instagram, he praised his co-stars Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt and Ranveer Singh for their powerful performances

Arjun Rampal, who played Major Iqbal in Dhurandhar, has spoken openly about the film's 26/11 sequence. In the scene, Ranveer Singh's character Hamza Ali Mazari appears stunned as the characters Arjun, Akshaye Khanna, and others celebrate the Mumbai terrorist assault.

Arjun Rampal took to his Instagram handle sharing a long note on the scene they performed for 26/11. A part of the note read, “Akshay Khanna, you owned it. Ruled it. Hit it out of the park. It also read, “To the beast, the wrath of God. Ranveer Singh Hamza. Man, it was a beautiful journey to watch your focus, determination, mad methods, and to stay in character. You were unabashed, fearless and endearing. Thank u for the ice baths. The last dance belongs to me. Love you.”

Arjun Rampal calls 26/11 sequence the most difficult one

A fan even asked Arjun about the impact of the 26/11 scene and how did the cast feel while performing it, he reacted, “The 26/11 scene was very impactful, as an audience, we felt Hamza's character, which Ranveer Singh portrayed, painfully amazing, but as an Indian, how did you and the other star cast feel while acting as your character and after the scene was cut?”

Arjun replied, “mandala 9348, most difficult scene of my life.” Another comment read, “The whole theatre went silent as if they were living those moments. My father, who never likes any movie, had a tear and felt helpless.”

The spy thriller Dhurandhar received an explosive response at the movie office. The big-budget spy drama had a strong start across major national chains and major urban centres, providing a much-needed boost to the industry in the last quarter of the year. According to Sacnilk.com, the film has already grossed over Rs 150 crore. Aditya Dhar directed Dhurandhar, which stars Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, and Ranveer Singh in the key parts.
