Opposites attract, sure they do

Amid rumours of turbulence in his marriage with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan addressed the speculation in a candid conversation with content creator Nayandeep Rakshit. Speaking about relationships, he remarked, “They always say opposites attract, and I’m sure they do. In my case, they definitely did. I mean, look at her beauty scale, look at mine.” He further shared, “There has to be a milan of certain values. You pretty much end up with people who are somewhat on the similar plane.” Emphasising the importance of his family, Abhishek added, “Family to me is the most important thing. I say it with utmost pride. Nothing comes ahead of my family for me.”

Actor Ali Fazal, known for his powerful roles in 3 Idiots (2009) and Mirzapur, recently reflected on his debut as a lead in Always Kabhi Kabhi (2011), produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. Speaking on mid-day’s podcast The Bombay Film Story, he said, “It was a very cherished moment in time.” While Aamir Khan gave him a soft launch in 3 Idiots, it was Shah Rukh who backed his lead debut. “Of course, when it bombed, I was like, ‘Shit, I wish he could have promoted it a little more,’” he joked. Ali appreciated not being spoon-fed, and shared, “[I appreciate that] he didn’t do that whole hand-holding. I would not have it any other way.”
