In December 2023, Huma Qureshi gave YA fiction readers an interesting hero to root for, as she released her debut novel Zeba: An Accidental Superhero. With it, the actor and producer added a new dimension to her creative side. Now, she is set to take her novel — which revolves around a woman who discovers she has mystical powers — to the Drukyul Literature and Arts Festival, which kicks off on August 2, in Bhutan.

We have heard that over her seven-day visit to the country, Qureshi will be part of several high-profile events and official dinners. “Huma will attend the Inaugural Dinner at the India House in Thimphu on August 1, followed by her appearance at the literature festival on August 2. At the fest, she will do a reading before the floor is thrown open for questions from attendees. She will also be part of a moderated panel discussion. On August 3, Huma will attend a dinner hosted by Bhutan’s Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, and the closing dinner hosted by the Queen Mother, Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck, on August 4,” said a source.
