Kunal Khemu, who made an entry in B-town as a child actor and then matured as an actor in Kalyug, Traffic Signal and Superstar, has been completely free since a long time and is enjoying life with his friends. CS chats up with Kunal before he starts work on his next film:
The art of chilling
These days I have been busy shooting for calendars, chilling out with friends and enjoying my life to the fullest. Although I will start work on a film next month, I can't reveal much because things haven't yet been finalised. I have been completely free for a long time but I hope I'll soon be getting down to work.
Luck struck
Acting is a very different ball game when you are a child actor. But Lady Luck has always been kind to me. I think there are many talented people around who don't get a chance to showcase their talent. I have been quite blessed on that front. Hits and flops are a part of any actor's career.
Things have changed dramatically where my career is concerned. As a child actor you can't play a criminal or a cop, but I can do those kind of roles now as an adult artist. But I have enjoyed both the phases to the fullest. Though I throroughly enjoyed acting in Kalyug and Superstar, my personal favourite would have to be Hum Hain Rahi Pyaar Ke.
No tress stress
My new look is very me. I had grown my hair earlier since at that point of time people didn't take me seriously because of my age. After a couple of movies I realised that maintaining long hair was a tough job so I snipped it off. This new hairdo has certainly made my life easier. And these days I prefer to sport a beard to look older than my years!
