In this new video, she spreads awareness about cervical cancer, saying, "I am alive. I didn't die because of cervical cancer. Unfortunately, I cannot say that about those thousands of women who have lost their lives because of cervical cancer. It is not because they couldn't do anything about it, but because they had no idea what to do about it. I am here to tell you that, unlike other cancers, cervical cancer is curable."

Her manager issued a statement saying, "Poonam Pandey was not only a luminary in the film industry, but she was also a beacon of strength and resilience." According to the World Health Organisation, cervical cancer is the fourth most common cancer in women.
Yesterday, after the post of Poonam’s demise was posted, many speculated whether the news was real or fake, given the actress' controversial past, while others wondered if this was an attempt to generate awareness for cervical cancer.
