Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Prabhas-starring film 'Spirit' officially began filming on Sunday, November 23, with a magnificent muhurat ceremony. The launch event was attended by Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi as the main guest. According to the latest rumours, Ranbir Kapoor, who collaborated with Vanga in 'Animal', will appear in 'Spirit'.

Since 'Spirit' was unveiled, the movie has been generating buzz, first for Deepika Padukone's departure from the production and then for teaming Triptii Dimri with Prabhas. According to new sources, the film could also star Ranbir Kapoor.

Ranbir is anticipated to make an appearance at a critical juncture in the plot, according to a source reported by Deccan Herald. "Ranbir will enter the picture at a pivotal point in the plot. It will be a watershed moment in the narrative and a historic occasion in Indian film because he has never shared screen space with Prabhas," the tabloid quoted a source as saying.

If confirmed, the cameo would be Kapoor and Prabhas' first on-screen cooperation, raising questions about whether Vanga intends to expand his cinematic universe.

'Spirit' stars Prabhas as an IPS officer and is billed as a large-scale global entertainer. The film is produced by T-Series and stars Triptii Dimri, Vivek Oberoi, and Prakash Raj. The project is now in the early stages of production and is set to hit theatres in 2026.

While Spirit had been in the headlines since initial allegations surfaced, it became entangled in controversy after Deepika backed out of the film, allegedly due to a disagreement over her demand for an eight-hour workweek. She later left the sequel to Kalki AD 2898, which was fronted by Prabhas himself.

Recently, Ranbir Kapoor had been mired in controversy for eating fish curry. Trolls targeted the actor after he was spotted eating non-vegetarian food on the show Dining With The Kapoors, which depicts the Kapoor clan commemorating the iconic Raj Kapoor's 100th birth anniversary. The special episode has been uploaded on Netflix. Trolls claimed the actor had given up non-vegetarian food and drink to prepare for his role as Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming epic Ramayana.

In the video clip from Dining With The Kapoors, Armaan Jain is seen presenting fish curry rice, junglee mutton, paya, and some vegetarian meals to the entire Kapoor family seated at the table. Ranbir is seen seated at the table with Neetu Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Rima Jain, Saif Ali Khan and other members of the Kapoor family.
