Remo D’Souza: I have faced racism and prejudice due to my skin colour ever since my childhood

Remo D’Souza talks about his production Laila Manju, the uniqueness of the title, and also reveals how he has faced racism and prejudice since childhood.

Remo D’Souza is already a choreographer and a director and now he tries his hands at production. He’s producing a film called Laila Manju and the unique title was one of the reasons why he came on board. It’s directed by Prem Soni, who also directed Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Main Aur Mrs. Khanna.
While talking to Times of India, he said also revealed how he has faced racism and prejudice ever since childhood. He revealed, “I have faced racism and prejudice due to my skin color ever since my childhood. It is a subject that I have dealt with very closely and experienced it whenever I travelled abroad. When I was growing up, people used to call me names. I used to just ignore it because I thought that maybe they are saying it because I look a certain way.”
