Sarke Chunar song row: NCW gives final chance to Nora Fatehi, directs Sanjay Dutt to appear

NCW has given Nora Fatehi a final opportunity to appear in person over the Sarke Chunar controversy and also summoned Sanjay Dutt. The panel criticised the song’s lyrics as objectionable and said women’s dignity cannot be compromised

The release of the song Sarke Chunar from KD: The Devil sparked controversy for its explicit lyrics. After the NCW sued the actors and makers, it has issued a final summons to Nora Fatehi, asking her to appear in person over the song row. The panel has also directed Sanjay Dutt to be present for the hearing.

The National Commission for Women (NCW) on Monday gave actor Nora Fatehi a final opportunity to appear before it in person in connection with the song Sarke Chunar Teri and fixed April 27 as the next date of hearing.
