This happened after Smriti's father got ill and had to be hospitalised after he exhibited heart attack-like symptoms. However, soon after, social media was flooded with allegations that Palaash had cheated on Smriti during the wedding week. Now, as the dust settles on the controversy, a new marriage date for the couple has surfaced.
Smriti Mandhana's brother reacts to new wedding date
As speculations around the new wedding date gained momentum, Smriti's brother Shravan Mandhana cleared the air around the rumours. Talking to Hindustan Times, he said, "I have no idea about these rumours. As of now the wedding is still postponed". With this he has put the rumours of the new date to rest.

Palaash and Smriti's wedding was scheduled to take place on November 23, 2025. However, on the day of the wedding, Smriti's father reportedly experienced heart-attack-like symptoms and was rushed to the hospital. Due to her father's ill health, the wedding was postponed indefinitely. Later reports emerged that Palaash too faced a health issue and was hospitalised. He was brought back to Mumbai to continue his treatement, while Smriti and her family stayed back in Sangli.
Palak Muchhal, Palaash's sister had shared a statement confirming the news of the wedding being postponed. She shared a note on social media whcih read, "Due to Smriti's dad's health, Smriti and Palash's wedding has been put on hold. Would request all of you to respect the privacy of the family in this sensitive time.”
Soon, Reddit users began claiming that Palash cheated on Smriti with a choreographer the night before the wedding. Following the chatter, Smriti deleted all the wedding and engagement posts on Instagram, which led netizens to believe that cheating rumours may be true.
So far, neither Palaash nor Smriti or their teams have shared any statement about the postponement of the wedding or addressed the social media speculations. Everyone is waiting for an official statement from Palaash and Smriti.
