Bollywood actress Zareen Khan has spoken out against the current paparazzi culture. She particularly slammed photographers who often click female celebrities from inappropriate angles and zoom in on their body parts. The actress questioned the ethics of such practices, saying there is no need, and even the audience is not enjoying it. She also called for a shift in how female public figures are portrayed in the media.
Zareen Khan slams paps
During a recent interview with Hindi Rush, Zareen said, "I cannot really understand today's paparazzi culture. I'm not saying all of them do it, but there are many paps who zoom in on areas where there's absolutely no need to." She further highlighted how celebrities should be identified by their work and faces instead of objectified visuals. Zareen added, "A celebrity is known by their face, right? So, how can you show some random body part and ask 'Guess who?' And that too a weird body part. I don't understand what they're trying to do."

Zareen further expressed her disappointment over the growing trend, which is drawing public backlash as well. She added, "Earlier, I thought their videos were going viral because of this. But now, even the public, the audience, is not enjoying it anymore. They also find it disgusting."
Other celebrities who spoke up
Notably, Zareen is not the first celebrity to raise her voice against this. Earlier, several celebrities have criticised and have called out such invasive behaviour. These include Janhvi Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Neha Bhasin, Rashami Desai, Mona Singh, Ayesha Khan, and Manushi Chhillar, who have all spoken out against paps taking photos of them from behind or focusing on their bodies. Interestingly, a few days back, Zareen had lashed out at paparazzi for clicking her from behind.
Zareen Khan made her Bollywood debut with Veer alongside Salman Khan in 2010. Ever since, the actress has been seen in many Hindi films such as Ready, Housefull 2, Hate Story 3, 1921, among others. She was last seen in Hum Bhi Akele Tum Bhi Akele, sharing screen space with Anshuman Jha, Gurfateh Pirzada, and others.
