Apart from being an actor, Aneet is a trained Hindustani classical vocalist and has been writing poetry since the age of 13. Some of her original verses were reportedly used as reference lyrics in the Saiyaara soundtrack.
Aneet Padda's speculated LinkedIn profile made rounds on the discussion platform Reddit. On this professional platform, Aneet described herself as an ex-HR intern at Vistara Airlines.
Aneet got bitten by the acting bug at the age of 10 during a school play in Amritsar. In a recent interview, she revealed how during the Covid-19 pandemic, her search for genuine opportunities intensified. “Almost every production has my horrible biodata and Snapchat filter photos," she said with a laugh, adding that she had sent audition tapes and emails to nearly 70 production houses in hopes of being noticed.
She even opened up about falling prey to audition scams and landing on shady websites in search of the best opportunity.
Aneet's parents are Sukhjit and Navdeep Padda. They are from a middle-class background in Amritsar and are not involved in the film industry.
Aneet Padda was rumoured to be Big Girls Don't Cry makers Nitya Mehra and Karan Kapadia’s daughter after she called them "Bombay parents" due to their mentorship on her show Big Girls Don't Cry.
An avid singer as well, Aneet recorded her first song, Masoom, in 2024. The same year, she appeared in a supporting role in the TV show Yuva Sapno Ka Safar, where she was credited as Aneet Kaur.
Her first on-screen role was a small part in the film Salaam Venky, directed by Revathi, alongside actress Kajol. The film also starred Vishal Jethwa in a pivotal role. He recently called Aneet intelligent and beautiful. Vishal went on to reveal that Aneet would cry without glycerin in every shot during emotional scenes.
But her big break came last year with the Amazon Prime Video show Big Girls Don't Cry, in which she played Roohi. The show also starred Pooja Bhatt in a pivotal role.
Aneet got her big break with Saiyaara. Mohit shared that Aneet’s first audition was a self-tape that she submitted, and later, YRF casting director Shanoo Sharma worked with her relentlessly. “Her first audition was a self-audition shot on a mobile phone, and it was so brilliant.”
Aneet is currently in a relationship with Saiyaara co-star Ahaan Panday. However, on Aditya Chopra’s advice, they have kept things under wraps. Aneet is even celebrating her birthday with Ahaan in London.
