Alia Bhatt, along with Ashutosh Gowariker, performed the ceremonial cutting of the ribbon at the inauguration of the Bharat Pavilion at the Cannes Film Festival 2026.

The actress, along with the filmmaker inaugurated the Bharat Pavilion for the representation of Indian films at the film festival.

Alia was seen dressed in an ivory chanderi dhoti skirt and a soft sculpted corset by Tarun Tahiliani. The saree was draped over the shoulder to create an off-shoulder neckline.
