Several major Indian celebrities have rejected or turned down prominent Hollywood projects. Just like Fahadh Faasil who refused Tom Cruise's Digger. Due to scheduling conflicts, personal boundaries, and creative preferences, stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan passed on major international films

During Finding Fanny's press conference, Deepika Padukone had revealed that she chose Bollywood project over Fast and Furious 7. She told PTI, "I don't regret it. I had to work out things for Ram-Leela here, I couldn't have left the process mid way, I had given my commitment here first. Looking at the way the film (Ram-Leela) has got response, I feel good as my hard work has paid off."
