Deepika Padukone will soon be making her Telugu film debut with director Nag Ashwin's upcoming film, which is tentatively titled Project K. The pan-India film will be released in multiple languages across the globe in 2022.

The fim also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Prabhas. The shooting of the film kickstarted in July this year, with a 'mahurat' pooja and clap.

Speaking about Big B's role in the film, Nag Ashwin had earlier said, "I feel lucky and blessed that Bachchan Sir has selected our film among the many choices he has. It is a full-length role, which we believe will do justice to the legend that he is."

Prabhas collaborates with Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone for the first time. DP and Big B have earlier worked together in films like Aarakshan and Piku.

Veteran filmmaker Singeetam Srinivasa Rao has been brought on board as a mentor for the sci-fi thriller. "I am partial to the sci-fi genre. I have grown up watching these films. I am also fascinated by mythologies. Basically, I like stories that involve magic and illusion,” Nag Ashwin said.
