Ishita Shukla was born in Jaunpur and is one of the four children of actor-politician Ravi Kishan and his wife, Priti Shukla.

She grew up alongside her siblings in Jaunpur before completing her higher studies at Rajdhani College, a constituent college of Delhi University.

Ishita joined the 7th Delhi Girls Battalion of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) while pursuing her graduation.

She spent several years in intensive training as an NCC cadet, laying the foundation of her physical and tactical capabilities.

Ishita was also selected to march down Kartavya Path during the national Republic Day Parade through the NCC.

In 2022, Ishita was present at PM Modi's NCC Rally, where she received an award for excellence, after being chosen out of 1500 cadets present.

In 2023, she formally applied and cleared the selections to join the Indian Defence Forces as a Mahila Agniveer at the age of 21 under the newly structured Agnipath recruitment system.

Additionally, Ishita also holds a keen interest in professional shooting. She has also participated in the All India Shooting Competition, establishing a reputation as a sniper shooter.

Ishita is fond of fitness and often shares her fitness milestones on social media. She is also fond of her pets and nature photography.

As a proud father, Ravi Kishan has often spoken about his daughter and also never misses a chance to boast of Ishita's achievements on his social media.
