Sophie Shine was born in 1990 and is an Irish national. She holds a degree in Marketing and Management from the Limerick Institute of Technology.
Sophie graduated from Castleroy College in Ireland and served as the second vice president at Northern Trust Corporation in Abu Dhabi until March 2025.
She is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Shikhar Dhawan Foundation, the Philanthropy arm of his conglomerate Da One Sports.
Sophie also enjoys a strong social media presence, with over 343,000 followers on Instagram. Over the past few months, she has regularly shared glimpses of her life with the cricketer.
As per reports, Shikhar Dhawan met Sophie Shine in Dubai a couple of years ago and they soon became friends. Their friendship soon blossomed into love.
She was spotted with Dhawan on multiple occasions, watching cricket matches. However, it was in June 2025, that the couple made their relationship Insta official.
Dhawan was earlier married to Ayesha Mukherjee, with whom he has a son, 11-year-old Zoravar Dhawan. The couple divorced in 2023.
Talking about finding love again after his divorce, Shikhar said in candid interview, “Yes, I have moved on (from my divorce). I wouldn't say I was unlucky in love— rather, my choices came from inexperience.”
Opening up about their love story, Sophie once revealed how she was attracted to Shikhar's “mischievous eyes."
The two have reportedly been living together for over a year and are said to be serious about building a life together.
According to reports, their wedding is scheduled to take place in the third week of the month in the Delhi-NCR region.
The private yet high-profile ceremony expected to be attended by prominent names from the cricketing fraternity and the film industry.
