How did you kick off the season?

My sister, a few friends and I were spent time together at my home one night and someone said 'Monsoons haven't arrived yet.' A close friend of mine told my sister 'Tell Dada, whatever he says, happens. He's got Saraswati in his tongue. When he asks for rains it always happens.' My childhood friend Kailash chuckled in disbelief. I prayed and in half hour the monsoon began. Kailash was left stunned!

What food or drink do you indulge in during the monsoon?

Once when I was recording with the late Aadesh Shrivastava, it started pouring. We postponed the recording, sat outside his studio and ordered some bhajiya and tea. Precious memories.

What is your favourite place to visit in Mumbai during the monsoon?

My Bunglow is next to the sea. Many times I have gone to the terrace and got crazy wet while watching the sea.

Favourite rain song on your playlist?

Any song works for me.

Favourite monsoon memory in Mumbai?

My most cherished memory of the monsoon is sitting in my car with my first girlfriend at Chhota Kashmir in Aarey Milk Colony. It started to pour and the transparent windows became opaque.
