Who is Kubra Khan? Pakistani actress celebrating her birthday with Sara Ali Khan

Sara Ali Khan recently treated fans with glimpses from her London holiday. Among the visuals that she shared, one that particularly caught attention was Sara celebrating Pakistani actress Kubra Khan's birthday. During the celebration, veteran actress and Sara's grandmother, Sharmila Tagore, was seen lovingly feeding cake to the birthday girl.


Kubra Khan was born as Rabia Iqbal Khan in Multan, Punjab, Pakistan on 16 June 1993. However, soon after her family moved to London when she was just six years old.

She initially started modelling and was reportedly spotted by her sister and Pakistani actor and singer Ahmed Ali Butt's wife, Fatima Khan, and later by Butt's brother, before becoming an actress.

Kubra made her debut in 2014 with the film Na Maloom Afraad, and later appeared in several films like Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2, Parwaaz Hai Junoon (both 2018), and London Nahi Jaunga (2022).

She made her television debut with Sang-e-Mar Mar (2016) followed by several Pakistani dramas including Alif Allah Aur Insaan (2017), Alif (2019), Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay and Sinf-e-Aahan (both in 2021), Jannat Se Aagay (2023) and Noor Jahan (2024).

According to Pakistani media, Khan is described as one of the nation's highest-paid actresses.

In January 2025, Khan announced her marriage to her co-star and longtime friend Gohar Rasheed.

On February 12, 2025, Kubra and Gohar officially tied the knot in an intimate, simple Nikkah ceremony held in Makkah.

Kubra even made her Bollywood debut with the 2015 film Welcome 2 Karachi, featuring Jackky Bhagnani, Arshad Warsi and more. She played Asma, an ISI Agent in the film.
