Perizaad Zorabian was a familiar face in early 2000s Bollywood, known for films like Bollywood Calling, Joggers Park, Morning Raga and Ek Ajnabee alongside Amitabh Bachchan.

Born into an Irani Zoroastrian family in Mumbai, she always aspired to become an entrepreneur, inspired by her father's business.

She earned an MBA from Baruch College in New York and also trained at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute before returning to India. Perizaad entered the entertainment industry after being spotted by a modelling coordinator and landed a Fair & Lovely commercial, which opened doors to acting opportunities.

In 2006, she married construction businessman Boman Rustom Irani and decided to step away from Bollywood to focus on family life. She reportedly turned down major film offers, including Salaam-e-Ishq and Black & White, after deciding to prioritise marriage and motherhood.

Her breakthrough came with Nagesh Kukunoor's Bollywood Calling, after which she starred in several acclaimed films and television projects. Despite her growing popularity, she balanced acting with working at her family's poultry business before eventually choosing films full-time for a few years.

Perizaad later took charge of her family's poultry venture, expanding it beyond wholesale into retail, ready-to-cook products and quick-commerce operations.

Today, Zorabian Chicken operates across multiple Indian states, employs around 700 people and records an annual turnover of approximately Rs 120 crore.

Although she occasionally appears in theatre and remains open to meaningful acting projects, Perizaad says she will return to films only if a role justifies time away from her family and business.
