Born on November 15, 1993, Rohan Thakkar grew up in a close-knit Hundi family. It was during his schooling, he got fascinated towards creative writing.

Rohan completed his foundational education at FLAME University in Pune. He studied Advertising and Marketing with a minor in Communication.

Following that, his interest in Hollywood led him to New York Film Academy and completed his MFA in screenplay writing in 2013.

At that time, he also attended UCLA workshops to enhance his skills and prepare to build a career in the field of screenwriting.

After completing his education in NY, Rohan began his career in India as a social media marketer and copywriting assistant. 

After a few years, he found a better opportunity in Los Angeles and moved there to work as an executive assistant at Next Level Entertainment Global, a talent and music management company.

Rohan Thakkar's credits as an Indian screenwriter and script supervisor include short films such as The Novelist (2016), Never Too Late (2016) and Nimbus (2018).

He is reportedly currently working as a freelance writer with Dharmatic Entertainment, the digital section of Karan Johar's Dharma Productions.

He is currently in news as he is getting married to Anhula Kapoor. The two met on a dating app in 2022, and the friendship son culminated to romance.

After proposing her in a dreamy setup at New York's Central Park, the couple officially got engaged in October 2025.
