Talwiinder was born as Talwinder Singh Sidhu on November 23, 1997, to a Punjabi Jat Sikh family in Tarn Taran, Amritsar, Punjab.
He is a singer, songwriter, and music producer best known for his Punjabi music, who started singing at the age of just four years.
At the age of 14, he relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area, where he continued his education and pursued his musical passion.
His growing-up years spent in Punjab and San Francisco influenced his music, which includes a fusion of Punjabi and Western sounds. He is known to blend electronic sounds, hip-hop, and alternative pop, with experimental elements of trap, lo-fi, boom bap, drill, and synth-pop.
One of the key features that sets him apart is his masked face, which he often covers with paint, be it music concerts, live performances or even music videos.
When asked about his masked identity, Talwiinder shared three major reasons for the same. The first, he says, his father was a painter and hence he covers his face with paint as an ode to his father.
The second reason he revealed is that he loves golgappas. His masked identity allows him to enjoy his favourite delicacy around the streets without people bothering him for pictures.
Thirdly, she shares he does not want bodyguards standing outside the bathroom every time he is using it.
Talwiinder started his career by recording and releasing his music on platforms like SoundCloud, Spotify, and YouTube, where he uploaded both original compositions and cover songs.
Talwiinder released his debut album, Misfit, in October 2024, consisting of 13 songs and featuring various artists. The album was released by Mass Appeal India.
Interestingly, Talwiinder has also performed at major live events, opening for renowned international artists such as Dua Lipa and G-Eazy, and also appeared at Lollapalooza India 2025.
He has also made it to Bollywood with his talent, contributing the song Gallan in the 2024 film Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, which he wrote, composed and sang. He also lent his voice for the song Tenu Zyada Mohabbat featured in the recent film Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri (2025).
Talwiinder recently made headlines for his appearances with Disha Patani, which has the internet speculating that the two are dating.
