Udita Goswami was born April 9, 1984 in Guwahati, Assam. She grew up and did her schooling in Dehradun.
Not much is known about her family or educational qualifications. However, she walked the ramp for a fashion institute in Dehradun at the age of just 16.
Eventually, her interest in modelling increased and she moved to Delhi to pursue a career in modelling.
She gained popularity quickly and became the first Indian model to feature on the cover of 'Elle Magazine'.
Later, she featured in about a dozen of films, including Zeher and Aksar opposite Emraan Hashmi. The latter included many hit songs, including Jhalak Dikhlaja and Soniye.
However, her film career suffered a setback because of her bold image on screen. She started getting offered the same kind of roles.
Mohit once revealed how he manifested marrying her. He told NTDV, "
"Outside the Amar juice centre, I was sitting with a friend, and she was on a hoarding of Paap. I had no idea who she was, and I was telling what I felt. I think the universe was just listening at that time. I am now married to her. I manifested it and I told Pooja. She was the director of Paap. I just said it as a joke, and the next thing I knew, when I went for a trial, she introduced me to Udita and said he is Mohit. He wants to be a director and marry you. It was quite embarrassing at the moment. I was the fool, but that's when the love story began."
After marriage, Udita decided to stay away from movies and focus on her family. Eventually, she found a new creative interest in music.
She trained as a DJ and began performing as a professional at private gigs and curated events.
Recently, following the massive success of Saiyaara, Udita penned an emotional note for her director-husband, calling him a 'star-maker.'
