Jack O'Connell, whose father died of pancreatic cancer when he was a teenager, formed a close bond with his director, Angelina Jolie on the sets of Unbroken.


Angelina Jolie will direct her second feature film, Unbroken, which stars and Jack O'Connell in the lead role of a World War II hero 

The Unbroken director, who underwent a preventative double mastectomy last year and whose mother died of ovarian cancer in 2007, and says she went out of her way to help him after a close friend of his was diagnosed with liver cancer.
