Adele wanted for second 'James Bond' theme song

Just a week after Adele's theme song for "Skyfall" won for Best Original Song at the Academy Awards, she's been tapped to provide a new smash-hit tune for the next James Bond film as well.

According to Britain's The Sun newspaper, producers want the singer to work on music for the films the way Shirley Bassey did, who sang various songs for Bond movies, including "Diamonds Are Forever", "Mooraker" and "Goldfinger."

A source told the publication that producers are thrilled by how well the song has been received and hope Adele’s presence on the next film will replicate that success. u00a0They want her to become as synonymous with Bond as Dame Shirley, the source added.u00a0
