Hailey Bieber, a model and entrepreneur, recently gave a touching interview to Vogue Italia', detailing her emotional journey through pregnancy, labour, and motherhood.

Speaking candidly, she discussed the excitement of welcoming her baby boy, Jack Blues Bieber, as well as the physical and mental challenges she endured before and after giving birth.

Hailey, 28, and her husband, Justin Bieber, became parents last year. The pair, who married when Hailey was only 21, rekindled their vows in a modest ceremony in Hawaii around the time they were expecting their first child. Though the couple's pregnancy was a happy occasion, Hailey revealed that it was not without its challenges.

Hailey talks about her challenging childbirth

She had always wanted to be a mother, especially after watching her older sister go through it. But when it occurred to her, she said she wasn't quite prepared. "I wasn't ready for something like this at all," she told me. Even though she enjoyed her pregnancy and felt more confident in her body, everything changed once she gave birth.

The birth did not proceed as expected. Hailey started leaking amniotic fluid in her 39th week of pregnancy. Doctors needed to act swiftly. They chose to induce labour with oxytocin and a Foley balloon, which helps to open the cervix.

On suffering from postpartum haemorrhage

Hailey described it as the most painful thing she has ever felt. Hailey said she was just relieved that baby Jack, who weighed eight pounds, was well. But then, a significant issue occurred. She started bleeding profusely, which doctors call postpartum haemorrhage.

"I had complete faith in my doctor," she told me, "but I was bleeding a lot, and people die, and that's a thought that crosses your mind."

But Hailey recovered. She claimed that after everything, Justin looked at her differently. "Suddenly, your partner sees you as a goddess, a superhero," she added with a smile. Justin, she added, informed her, "I'm living the life I've always dreamed of," as he settled into his new role as a father.

Hailey also spoke out about dealing with online hate while going through this. After giving delivery, she received a deluge of harsh comments on social media, exacerbating an already tough situation.

She tried to enjoy her time with her baby, but it was difficult to deal with harsh words from strangers.
