Hollywood filmmakers have always enjoyed a significant fan following in India, drawing audiences to the cinema halls every time thier film hits the cinema. The massive visual spectacles, superhero franchises and the filmmakers' vision have attracted the Indian audience. Be it Christopher Nolan, James Cameron or the Russo brothers, Hollywood filmmakers enjoy a sizable run at the Indian box office. Here is a look at the highest-earning Hollywood directors who have dominated the Indian box office with their films.


James Cameron
Famous for his Avatar movies as well as Titanic, which enjoys a sizable fan following in the country, James over Rs 715 crore combined at the Indian box office, with Avatar: The Way of Water leading, followed by Avatar: Fire and Ash.

Jon Watts
Jon Watts claims a share of over Rs 345 crore at the Indian box office from his Tom Holland's Spider-Man MCU trilogy. Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), leads the way while Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) and Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) follow.

Christopher McQuarrie
With his Mission Impossible franchise, Christopher McQuarrie has earned a total of over Rs 345 crore at the Indian box office from his directorial ventures.

Russo Brothers
Anthony and Joe Russo lead the Indian box office chart with over Rs 700 crore, thanks to their massive Marvel blockbusters. Avengers: Endgame (2019) and Avengers: Infinity War (2018) leading the way.

Christopher Nolan
Christopher Nolan enjoys a share of over Rs 425 crore. With his latest release, The Odyssey still running in theatres having earned over Rs 140 crore gross, his other works contributing to his run include Oppenheimer (2023) with Rs 157.50 crore.

Jon Favreau
Jon's films have accumulated a total of over Rs 340 crore at the Indian box office, with his films like The Jungle Book (2016) and The Lion King (2019).

James Wan
James Wan enjoys a share of around Rs 260 crore gross in India with his Conjuring films and DC's premier sub-franchise Aquaman as well as Fast and Furious 7 (2015).
