Panettiere built an impressive voice-acting résumé in gaming. She voiced Kairi and Xion in the Kingdom Hearts franchise and later played Sam Giddings in the horror game Until Dawn

At the height of her Heroes fame, Panettiere wasn't limiting herself to acting. She designed limited-edition handbags for Dooney & Bourke and later launched her own line of calfskin leather bags with the company

Panettiere also used her celebrity platform for political advocacy. She supported DC statehood and voting representation, participated in the “51 Stars” campaign and was honoured by Washington, DC's mayor in 2011 for her advocacy
