After serious films like Aa Dinagalu and Slum Bala, Agni Sridhar chooses to entertain with Kallara Santhe, a political satire

Shooting for Kallara Santhe, a political satire scripted by Agni Sridhar and directed by Sumana Kittur, has begun.

Sridhar and Sumana's last outing, Slum Bala, which has Duniya Vijay in the lead, highlighted the nexus between corrupt politicians and the police in exploiting slum youth.

Though Slum Bala got good reviews, it failed to set cash registers ringing. "Slum Bala was not a flop. It was an average hit. In fact, this movie did better business than Aa Dinagalu, on which we lost Rs 10 lakh. But we made up by selling the rights to television," insists Sridhar.
