Keerthy Suresh breaks silence on morphed pictures
While speaking about her experience at a press conference in Chennai, Keerthy Suresh shared, "AI has become a huge issue. It has turned into a boon and a bane. Humans invented technology but we are losing control. On social media, I get stunned seeing my picture in a suggestive outfit, and I wonder if I ever wore it as it is that real. Recently, the outfit I wore for a movie puja was altered in a bad way, from a different angle. For a second, I was wondering, and then I realised that I didn't pose in such a way. It is definitely irritating. It is definitely hurting."
She revealed how the altered image made her question whether she had actually posed in that manner, before realising that they had been manipulated. This highlights how true these edited pictures can look. This left her stunned, while she emphasised the exceptionally realistic nature of these AI-generated images.
Keerthy Suresh also highlighted how the issue is not confined to the film industry, but can affect anyone who is exposed to social media and digital platforms.

She noted that the technology comes with challenges beyond the entertainment sector. She said, "Not just actors, even for the public, AI is becoming a problem. AI should work for us and not the other way round."
The actors’ comments come amid the ongoing debate on the ethical use of AI and it's challenged. Many have even approached the court to safeguard and protect personal identities online, including Nagarjuna, Aishwarya Rai, Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan among others.
