Pawan Kalyan on his ideal co-star
In a rapid-fire round with Hauterrfly, Pawan Kalyan was asked whether he would rather act with Alia Bhatt or Deepika Padukone. He said it was a difficult choice and chose both. When asked to pick between Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, and Kriti Sanon, Pawan smiled, refused to choose just one, and said “all three.” However, when the options included Alia, Deepika, Kriti, and Kiara Advani, he seemed to make up his mind and picked Kriti.
He was then asked to choose between Kriti and Kangana, and he chose the latter. He also picked Kangana over Priyanka Chopra Jonas. But when asked to choose between Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kangana, he said it would depend on the film. He added, “I still feel… looking at how she portrayed Indira Gandhi (in Emergency), I think I should go with the stronger person, Kangana Ranaut.”
The only time he did not choose Kangana over another actress was when the host asked him to choose between the Queen actress and Sridevi.
Reacting to the rapid-fire, Kangana reshared the video on her Instagram stories with folded hands and heart emojis.
About Hari Hara Veera Mallu
The story revolves around Veera Mallu, a warrior tasked with stealing the Kohinoor diamond from the Mughals to rescue a city from their oppression. Set in 1684, four years after Chhatrapati Shivaji’s death, the narrative highlights the fight for Sanatana Dharma against Aurangzeb’s tyranny, including his imposition of Jizya tax on Hindus for practicing their faith. The film emphasizes the resistance of Indian heroes against Mughal oppression, contrasting with the glorification of Mughal rulers in traditional narratives.
The film addresses the atrocities of Aurangzeb, such as the Jizya tax and oppression of Hindus, while celebrating Indian heroes like Chhatrapati Shivaji. It critiques the historical glorification of Mughal rulers in textbooks and highlights the looting of India’s wealth, exemplified by the Kohinoor diamond’s journey from Koti Lingala to London. The narrative has shifted to emphasize Sanatana Dharma and spiritual resistance over mere rebellion.
Announced in January 2020, filming began in September 2020 but faced delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Pawan Kalyan’s political commitments as Andhra Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister. The film, initially planned as a single release, was split into two parts in May 2024, with Part 1 concluding production in May 2025. It was shot primarily in Hyderabad, with additional schedules in Vijayawada and Mumbai.
