Spirit Poster
The massive buzz around Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s next film, Spirit, reached a fever pitch with the poster drop on New Year’s, as fans eagerly dissected every detail of Prabhas’ striking first look.
The poster features a wounded Prabhas standing by a window, with bandages wrapped around his chest. Triptii can be seen in a beige saree, lighting his cigarette.
Prabhas calls Spirit poster his career best
The first look has amped up excitement for the release of the much-awaited intense saga.
Adding to the intrigue, in a conversation between Vanga and Prabhas Prabhas about the poster, the director revealed that the now-iconic image wasn’t a conventional photoshoot but was actually cut out from between a scene in the film, underscoring its raw, in-the-moment authenticity.
Reacting to this revelation, Prabhas himself couldn’t hide his admiration for the visual, declaring, “Spirit first look poster is my best poster till now, it’s a cult poster,” a statement that not only amplified the excitement but also cemented the poster’s status as a defining visual moment in his career even before the film’s release.
Spirit release date shifted
The Prabhas and Triptii Dimri-starrer is now likely to release in August 2027, significantly earlier than its initial December 2027 date. According to industry sources, the shift follows strong advice from distributors to avoid a clash with Marvel’s Avengers: Secret Wars, scheduled for December 17, 2027.
To meet the advanced deadline, the production team has fast-tracked the film, with calendars being reworked. Initially, it had been reported that the first schedule of Spirit would be shot until December-end before pausing for a New Year’s break. However, with the director keen to release the cop actioner mid-2027, the filming of the Prabhas, Triptii Dimri, and Vivek Oberoi-starrer continued through the New Year’s week.
A source told mid-day, “Spirit kicked off on November 27 in Hyderabad, and the team will shoot till the first week of January before taking a break. The New Year’s break has been called off.”
