Pushpa: The Rise holds an important space in pop culture. Be it the songs, Allu Arjun's signature gestures, or Rashmika Mandanna's iconic dance steps, the film remains popular for the right reasons. The Pushpa fever doesn't seem to subside. Amid much anticipation for the sequel, a video of Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis singing the song Srivalli went viral. 


Mr Fadnavis was at an event in the city. In the viral video, he was seen singing Javed Ali's chartbuster romantic song Srivalli. The singer, who was present at the event, made a special request to the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra and passed the mic to him. Not just Devendra Fadnavis, cricketer David Warner was seen dancing to Srivalli during one of the World Cup 2023 matches. Warner couldn't resist himself from dancing on the field. When Srivalli was played during the match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, the ace cricketer shook a leg and surprised thousands of spectators.

Devi Sri Prasad won the Best Music Director award at the National Film Award for Pushpa's music. Sharing a video from the ceremony, he wrote, "Honoured & Blessed to receive the National Award for BEST MUSIC DIRECTOR for the Movie PUSHPA..My whole hearted Gratitude to the Respected JURY of #69thnationalfilmawards The Government of INDIA & the Ministry for this esteemed recognition. Pushpa: The Rule, which is the sequel, will be releasing on August 15, 2023. It is expected to clash with Rohit Shetty-Ajay Devgn's Singham Again. Sharing the news, renowned trade analyst Taran Adarsh posted on X (formerly known as Twitter), "THE WAIT IS OVER… ‘PUSHPA 2’ ON INDEPENDENCE DAY 2024… Team #Pushpa2 finalises the release date… Will arrive in *cinemas* on [Thursday] 15 Aug 2024."

Pushpa 2: The Rule is directed by Sukumar and stars Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil. The much-anticipated sequel is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Muttamsetty Media. 

Pushpa: The Rise released on December 17, 2021. It revolved around red sandalwood smuggling.
