All audio and visual references to his political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), were muted or removed.

The CBFC also directed the makers to modify all visuals featuring Dr B. R. Ambedkar on the cover of a book wherever they appeared in the film.

The censor board also directed the deletion of a shot showing the Indian national flag falling to the ground.

The CBFC further asked the makers to delete and replace visuals depicting a child burning. 

Another visual showing a District Collector’s office badge/cigarette being rolled down disrespectfully was also replaced.

In addition, the name “Sheela Rani” has been replaced wherever it is spoken in the film.

Religious terms, including Bhagavathan, Ranganathar, and OM, have been muted, while the word "OM" has specifically been removed from a dialogue explaining Operation Meluha.

The board also objected to a few dialogues, asking the team to mute one referring to Saddam Hussein's execution and another containing the line, "India en kalla vizha vaikaren," which translates to, "I am holding a secret celebration in India."

The entire dialogue beginning with, "Ponnoda... kuduthu vachirukkanu, Udambu erukkunu" ("He's lucky to have a daughter like that... and she's got a fine physique"), has been muted. 

Another modification is the title card for the actor. Over the last decade, Vijay has been introduced as Thalapathy Vijay in his films with his last few films featuring a common title card. But this time, the words ‘honourable Tamil Nadu CM’ will be added to it.
