Speaking about how she has been celebrating the sucess of her debut Marathi film, Jiya said, "I visited multiple theatres in different locations. The last show in Pune was housefull. I met everubody and wished them a Happy New Year."

Recalling her journey in showbiz she said, "I was a super shy kid and got in acting because my mom asked me to give it a shot. I wouldn't tell people I'm an actor, I would say I am a student. It was years later that I gained confidence and knew I am a good performer."
