Prime Minister Narendra Modi's demonetisation drive may have sent the people of the country into frenzy, with social media platforms buzzing with news of the inconvenience faced by citizens. Yet, celebrated figures, including those from the film fraternity, have voiced their support in favour of the move. The latest to join the bandwagon is singer
Sonu Nigam, whose three-minute video, 'Kaagaz', features a narration in support of the drive.

Watch the video:

"I wanted to console people who are suffering because of the move or spending long hours in the queues at banks and ATMs. We shouldn't be insensitive towards those who unfortunately have a lot of cash at home or are compelled to transact only in cash due to the nature of their business. At the same time, I applaud the effort of our PM, because this move was done for a better India. This video will showcase these arrays of emotions," he informs.

Kaagaz has been directed by Milap Milan Zaveri and was put together in less than 36 hours. "Milap came up with beautiful concept. A friend, Raju Singh, did the background music. It is not gimmicky or preachy," says the singer.
