The vigilance team of Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) on Friday night landed on the set of Tony Singh&rsquo;s TV show 'Police Factory' in Madh Island following allegations that the production team was making artistes work for 14 hours a day and wasn&rsquo;t providing transport facilities after pack-up late at night.

&ldquo;The unit starts shooting early in the morning and it goes on till late hours. There are female artistes who leave the set in Madh Island post 10 pm and do not get any transport facility. The road leading to the shoot location is dark and deserted. Who will be responsible in case of an untoward incident?&rdquo; questions Raj Surve, member of the FWICE vigilance wing.
Surve now intends to write letters to the Cine and Television Artistes&rsquo; Association (CINTAA) to warn producer Singh against such treatment to artistes. &ldquo;On Friday night, we visited the set of Police Factory and stopped the shoot since artistes and technicians were working for nearly 14 hours. Plus, there were many non-members in the unit. So, I will write a letter to CINTAA and warn the producer,&rdquo; adds Surve.
The production house denies Surve&rsquo;s claims. &ldquo;There are no non-members in the unit. Besides, we have a vehicle for transportation, but it is used only after 2 am. The Madh Island area see many shoots every day,&rdquo; says Shankar, business head of Singh&rsquo;s production house.
