Sony SAB’s mythological epic, Gatha Shiv Parivaar Ki – Ganesh Kartikey, continues to immerse audiences in the untold stories of the Shiv Parivaar — Lord Shiv, Goddess Parvati, Lord Ganesh, and Lord Kartikey. With every track, the show expands its spiritual universe, balancing cosmic purpose, emotional journeys, and the battle between dharma and adharma.

Nirbhay Wadhwa enters the show as Sindhurasur

As Ganesh Kartikey enters a more intense chapter, Nirbhay Wadhwa, known for his impactful roles in mythological dramas, steps in as Sindhurasur, the asur fated to marry Tulsi (Geet Jain) as part of the curse Lord Ganesha once gave her after she cursed him in return. Born unwanted and shaped by a life without love, Sindhurasur grows into a formidable tyrant whose presence instantly brings a darker, more dramatic energy to the story. His character adds emotional depth and weight to the narrative, highlighting the complexities of destiny, resentment, and power.

Nirbhay Wadhwa, playing the role of Sindhurasur, said, “When I first read about Sindhurasur, what struck me was how differently his story begins - not with power, but with pain. He isn’t just an asur; he is someone shaped by rejection, by never being wanted. That emotional foundation makes him far more complex than a typical antagonist. I remember shooting my first scene, standing there in heavy armour, and the director whispered, ‘Feel the weight of everything he was denied.’ And suddenly, I understood him. Playing Sindhurasur is not just about fury or strength; it’s about carrying a lifetime of hurt that eventually explodes into terror. This is one of the most layered characters I’ve taken on, and I’m excited for viewers to see how his arrival changes the entire rhythm of the story.”

Avinesh Rekhi to replace Mohit Mallik

If the reports are to be believed, then Avinesh Rekhi replaces Mohit Mallik as lord Shiv on the show. He shared, "Stepping into the role of Lord Shiva is both an honour and a responsibility. The portrayal carries immense reverence, depth and emotional significance for millions of people and that awareness has guided every step of my preparation."
