11 am-7 pm: ARTS Vision has organised a group exhibition of the latest works by 21 Mumbai artists bases in Thane, Kolhapur and Miraj. On display is a wide variety of artworks including realistic, abstract, landscape, portraits, and figurative paintings. The organisation, founded by Arjun Machivale, Riyaz Kazi and Mahesh Kadam, aims at providing a platform to art teachers, based in Mumbai a platform to showcase their talent.

6 pm ONWARD: Kaushiki Chakraborty (Hindustani Vocals) and Rahul Sharma (Santoor) will open this year’s chapter of Janfest today. A group of small town money-grabbing officials get the shock of their lives when they learn that a Government Inspector is being dispatched to investigate their town and all its local dealings. Thrown into a panic, they desperately struggle to stifle public dissatisfaction whilst deflecting the blame for their various misdemeanors onto each other. But the first question they need to answer is who is the Government Inspector and where is he hiding?
