As Bonderam Festival unfolded, the scenic island of Divar came alive this weekend with vibrant colours, traditional music, and community festivities
Known for its rich blend of tradition, history, and creativity, Bonderam is celebrated with flag parades, colourful floats, and cultural performances
While the main festival is usually held in the last week of August, Malar kicks off the Bonderam celebrations a week earlier
The day began with Bonderachem GEDTalks and Bonderancho Uzvaad, featuring engaging talks, Goan folk performances, and creative workshops, followed by Bonderachem Jevonn, offering an array of traditional delicacies
In the afternoon, the celebrations featured the symbolic Bonderam Flag Parade, the Bonderachi Pássoi (heritage walk), and the much-anticipated Bonderachi Parade with colourful floats and traditional costumes. The celebrations culminated in a high-energy musical evening with live band performances and DJ sets at the Malar Flagpost
