Razer Project ArianaRazer called in the big guns this year with not one but two impressive outofthebox products Starting with Project Ariana which is based on their Chroma line Ariana essentially is a projector that extends your gaming screen so it can light up the entire room to create an immersive experience Project Ariana uses an ultrawide fish eye lens HD projector along with a pair of 3D depth sensing cameras and proprietary software to create the immersive screen extension Since this was just a proof of concept there was no attached price or launch dates available for Project Ariana Watch the video hereVidia Shield TV boxVidia launched an updated version of their Androidbased Shield TV box The new Shield now does 4K HDR content comes with a new gaming controller and a TV remote Both of the controllers are voice activated with Google Voice search built in Just click on the voice search button and ask for any app or game you would like to use Shield takes care of the rest The device is a strong competitor to Apple TV but the availability of hardcore games available on the Shield and the ability to stream games from your PC make it ideal for a gamer If that wasnrsquot enough to want one the updated device can now also control smart devices in your home Shield is available in two versions regular and Pro the regular features 16GB of space while the Pro boasts 500GB of space The device starts at 199 and is available for preorder right now on the nVidia website A special mention for GeForce Now that will remove the gaming PC limitation by streaming high quality graphics directly from the cloud GeForce Now is available for Shield right now but will be available for PC and Mac in March Watch the video hereDell UltraSharp 32inch Ultra HD 8K monitorDell decided to up the ante with an 8K monitor You read that right 8K The ultrasharp monitor is not meant for gaming but imagine playing a game on it The 32inch display has a resolution of 7680x4320 pixels a contrast ratio of 13001 and a pixel density of 280ppi It has 100 per cent support for both Adobe RGB and sRGB making it perfect for media professionals as well as gamers The Dell UltraSharp 32 Ultra HD 8K monitor UP3218K monitor has to use two DisplayPort cables to get the desired resolution since the current version doesnrsquot support 8K resolution The only drawback is the price At roughly 5000 341000 it is one pricey accessory The monitor will be available in March this year Watch the video hereHTC Vive TrackerHTC Vive Tracker lets VR users add more functionality to their VR gaming by adding any physical object to their virtual world by just attaching the tracker This makes it easy for developers to alter the experience on the user in a relatively simple way The tracker weighs in at just 90 grams and has a simple screw mount system At CES 2017 a lot of Vive partners were showing off the accessory by integrating it with a fire hose for firefighting training a gun for gaming gloves for interaction and even a baseball bat Though small the device promises interesting additions to VR in the future It will be made available from March this year Watch teh video hereRazer Project Valerie LaptopWhatrsquos better than a laptop with one 4K Display A laptop with three 4K screens of course While some might feel a laptop with three 4K screens may be a step too far any gamer with a threescreen setup will disagree Project Valerie is the worldrsquos first portable laptop with three screens each 173inch screen houses a 4K display equipped with nVidia GSYNC for an immersive 180degree surround view gaming experience Not to mention creative professionals will also find this laptop useful with 100 per cent Adobe RGB colour accuracy The device uses an automatic deployment mechanism to convert itself into a 3display beast The laptop is also VRready and features an nVidia Geforce GTX 1080 along with a mechanical keyboard There was no price announced for the laptop or when it will be made available but be ready to shed a kidney or two to buy one Watch the video here
