While looking for some new, easy-to-make recipes, we stumbled upon a new app called Side Chef, available on the Appstore and Google Playstore. Now, there are hundreds of cooking apps in the market, so what makes this one special?

For starters, every recipe in the app comes with a step-by-step pictorial explanation of the method of cooking &mdash; from preparing the ingredients to the final stage of cooking, and serving too. Those of us who are not so well-versed with the art of cooking would know how confusing some steps can get; more so, if you have never done or seen it being cooked before. Nice touch, right?

There are nearly 1,000 recipes; each sourced from some of the most popular food blogs and chefs around the world. But that&rsquo;s not all. To make it simple and easy to follow, every recipe also comes with an in-built timer that guides you through the different steps, automatically.
The slides have been set as not to move forward to the next step, until you instruct the app that you have completed the one at hand, thus saving you from getting confused in the middle of the cooking process.
However, if you still get lost in the process, you can always browse back and forth, through the steps, and/or pause the timer, and start it again, from the moment you stopped.
Since you would like to show off your creation, once you are done cooking, you can also post a picture of the dish and share it with home chefs from around the world.
